Family is defined in narrower terms as a family nucleus (see the definition of “Family (family nucleus)”). The table includes family nuclei in private households and their members (i.e. family members).

Second-youngest child, third-youngest child - the order of children starting from the youngest child in the family.

If there are twins, triplets etc. in the family, one of them is considered the second-youngest, one the third-youngest etc., so that all children would be included in the table.
