In the ascending total only the data presented to the database have been summed up.

From 2003 data include the data of health resorts providing accommodation service.

As of January 2018, the data are by the administrative division after the Administrative Reform, excl. the data of Tartu and Pärnu cities, which are based on the settlement unit (not on the administrative unit). When comparing 2018 data to earlier data, the change in the administrative division must be taken into account.

* In 2002, the data of the following countries have been grouped together:

Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg;

Spain and Portugal;

United Kingdom and Ireland;

Czech Republic and Slovakia;

Other European countries, Iceland and Turkey.

** In 2002-2004, the data of Albania, Bulgaria and Romania have been grouped together.

** In 2002-2004, the data of CIS include the data of Russia.

The data may be revised during the year after the end of the reference month.
